My name is Theresa, and I am a genealogist based in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire. I specialise in researching British family history and helping people discover more about the lives of their ancestors.

My interest in genealogy began through researching my own family history. Like many people, I became fascinated by the stories hidden within historical records and the way family history can connect us to the past. Over time, this personal interest developed into a deeper commitment to historical research and genealogy.

I hold a Master's degree in History, where my studies focused on urban development in Victorian Britain. My academic background has given me strong research skills and experience working with historical sources and archives.

Today, I help individuals and families explore their ancestry by carefully examining historical records such as census returns, parish registers, and civil registration documents. My aim is to uncover the lives behind the names and dates and present the research in a clear and accessible way.

Living in North East Lincolnshire, I also have a particular interest in the history of coastal communities and the families connected to the fishing industry in towns such as Grimsby and the surrounding area. Many of my research projects involve families from Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties, including the historic fishing communities of Grimsby and the Lincolnshire coast.

Family history research is often a journey of discovery, and I am always pleased to help others explore their own connections to the past.

Outside of my research work, I enjoy spending time with my family and making the most of living by the coast. I particularly enjoy walking along the beach, reading, and exploring local history. Life is also kept busy by my young daughter and our miniature dachshund, who enjoys coastal walks just as much as we do.
